  • Helpful, just a note

    By Tj$$
Duolingo is really great, and it’s nice & efficient. I’ve learnt a lot from it, and if you stay consistent you’ll be really good at whatever language you want. I just have a request, and I hope it’s actually considered: American Sign Language (ASL). Think about how many people use Duolingo, and then imagine how deaf people would feel if more people could speak it a little! It would make their day, I’m sure. Thank you so much for creating such a good app!
  • Duo translation French to English

    By i wrote 5 already
I fake French because is one of thé language that I always want to learn, at this point of my life , I have time to do that. My frustration is the traduction to English. English is my second language, the components of English such as phonology , pragmatic are not utilized with Duo, totally different of the effective English communication used in the United States. I suggest to review and update your classes and do not translate literally French to English. Thank you,

While appreciating greatly the free Spanish and other lessons that Duolingo provides, sometimes it’s exasperating when only one correct translation is provided, when there are others. I understand the need for a paid premium version, but I thought I’ll share this, as you asked. Thank you.
  • Need Forum Access!!

By DrKate aka The Rock Doctor
*This review is addressing only the quality and usability of the iOS app. From an educational perspective, I love DuoLingo. The single greatest flaw of this app is that users are blocked from commenting in the discussion forum. Why is the forum “read only” for the app? It baffles me why this is still the case in 2021. I suspect that the majority of users, like me, use Duo ONLY on mobile. I pay for Premium. At minimum this should be a feature offered as an upgrade, although honestly it should be available to all learners. My education would be greatly enhanced if I could ask a freaking question once in a while!
  • Very good with one caveat

    By noodle561
I love the duo app and it’s really helping me to recall all of my Spanish that has slipped away and I’m learning German. It’s very good. My only issue is that they have somehow disable the comment feature so you can’t take place take take part in the discussions.
  • Won’t let me sign in

    By CiCi_012
My Duolingo account is linked to my Google account, and on the mobile app it will not let me sign in with Google. When I try to login normally with my Google username and password, it will not let me. I have not been able to get in to Duolingo on my phone at all.

I now know how to speak so much Spanish that I could go to Mexico and understand almost everything that people are saying.I have become addicted to this app and I can’t not learn Spanish everyday. There are so many different languages to learn and it’s become my mission to learn them all. It’s really interactive and fun.10/10 would recommend.
  • Frustrated with the “game”

    By Dddddfghjytfcxss3
I’m downgrading my review out of frustration with this app. It’s really just a game, not a serious tool for learning a language. I wish you could turn the game part off completely. I’m cancelling my subscription. I paid to upgrade to plus, but the recent version crashed during the timed challenges. Also something going on with the story books where it stops reading frequently and you have to keep hitting the button to reread to be able to continue. The plus is expensive, it’d be nice if they had a button to leave feedback for the developers. Hopefully they read through the comments.
