    But Britbox released it anyway. What were they thinking? Portrait mode to find a program, landscape to view?? They’ve made a simple tap, find and start watching process UN-user friendly.
  • No more landscape orientation!

    Been using this app for a long time with no complaints. It was perfect. The new version is terrible. It no longer works when my iPad is in landscape mode. It runs like an old iPhone app that wasn’t capable of rotating when run on an iPad. This is an app to watch videos - I don’t want to us it in portrait mode. Videos are also taking forever to load for me now.

    The most recent update has caused Britbox to play only in portrait mode. This is so awful to look at and very inconvenient to use as I can no longer have iPad on my lap for viewing and have to hand hold it in portrait. I also have to unplug my charging cord as the orientation is such that the cord is on the bottom and thus getting crimped. Very disappointing development. Please fix!

    I absolutely detest the update or whatever it is that’s happened because of it shows that were already letter boxed now have two black bars on the sides which makes it almost impossible to deal with, what was already smallish has become even smaller. It now always crashes when it never use to, if this continues I shall rescinding my subscription, I had fallen in love with this streaming service as I love watching British television but quite frankly with what’s happening it’s not worth my throwing money down the drain. I do hope this company get it’s act together and quickly.

    Why? Why? Why? Can’t you make a “Recently Watched” or “History” ??? It is so common amongst any streaming service. It’s like the most basic of basics!!!

    Great shows, junk software that is very poorly designed. Can’t I search for seasons, and episodes within seasons? If so, it is not obvious. And why will the index pages (lists of all shows) not play in landscape mode? This stuff is very simple to accomplish. Beyond their earnest protestations, the actions of the developers clearly indicate that they do not care one whit about users’ opinions. Looks like they just took the money and ran.

    Garbage app. Can no longer play on iPAD even using Apple TV subscription. Forces me to sign up again even though I have an active subscription. Help Center doesn't provide a way to resolve this

    Recently Britbox updated the platform and it hasn’t worked right since. I can’t even get in to cancel my subscription. Can’t understand why you would change something that worked so well to something that doesn’t work at all.

    I have had and enjoyed Acorn for a long time, and added Britbox to see all of the Miss Marple episodes. I’ve never had a problem with Acorn, but have found viewing content on Britbox to be problematic. At first, it was pad enough that video could not be viewed full-sceeen. Then I discovered that this so-called update forced me to log in again, and led to an absurd portrait-style landing page. It shows a keep viewing for a show that I haven’t even watched on Britbox. Don’t you even test your upgrades? Don’t you look at what other streamers do? I’ve bought many gift subscriptions to Acorn, and will keep doing so. At this point, despite your content, there’s no way I’m recommending Britbox to anyone.
